Country Calling 2025: A Landmark Weekend for UK Country Music

Updated:

Last weekend, the rolling fields of Country Calling came alive with the sound of steel guitars, heartfelt lyrics, and a community united by a shared love of country music. With over 5,000 fans in attendance and 52 artists performing across four stages, the inaugural two day Country Calling Festival proved to be more than just a weekend of music – it was a movement.

From breakout UK acts to seasoned favourites, the lineup showcased 36 homegrown artists, each bringing their own flavour of country to the stage plus headliners from across the pond and down under. Whether it was the sunlit harmonies drifting from the acoustic stage or the foot-stomping anthems echoing from the main stage, every corner of the festival pulsed with passion, authenticity, and connection.

A Vision Realised

Pete Woodhouse of the Country Calling UK team reflected on the festival’s heart and purpose:

“As a country fan, my dream has always been to create a festival I’d love to attend myself. A place where new artists are given a chance to share the stage with legends, where fans can discover their new favourite acts, and where families can make memories that last a lifetime. Thanks to Carl and his incredible team behind the scenes, Country Calling has made that dream a reality. Our goal was to create the best possible experience for everyone, whether you’re an artist, a trader, or a ticket buyer and I couldn’t be prouder of what we achieved together. Work has already begun for 2026 and we can’t wait.”

That sense of purpose was felt in every detail — from the warm welcome at the gates to the curated food stalls, family-friendly zones, and late-night singalongs.

A Festival with Heart

Founder Carl Miller, whose vision has guided Country Calling from concept to reality, shared his thoughts on the journey:

“Country Calling has been a true labour of love over the past 12 months. I’ve always believed there’s a real appetite in the UK for a festival that delivers authentic country music — not just for lifelong fans, but also for those discovering the genre for the first time. The incredible success of Country Calling 2025 has only confirmed that belief. The weekend was bursting with energy, heart, and soul, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve created.”

Looking Ahead to 2026

With the dust barely settled, excitement is already building for next year’s event. Country Calling 2026 is officially confirmed for 14th – 16th August 2026, with the addition of camping options — giving fans the chance to fully immerse themselves in the festival experience.
