Following its historic debut at the Royal Albert Hall on Friday, September 26, 2025, the Grand Ole Opry is set to reach even more UK audiences through a special broadcast partnership with the BBC. For fans who can’t be there in person (and the show sold out in minutes when tickets were released), this is the moment to tune in and experience the spirit of Nashville from home.
“Grand Ole Opry: Live in London” will air on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Two this October. The full radio broadcast premieres Thursday 2nd October at 7 p.m. on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds, followed by a televised highlights programme on BBC Two later in the month. Both will be available for 30 days on BBC Sounds and BBC iPlayer. “Grand Ole Opry: Live in London” will be co-hosted by BBC Radio 2 presenter Vernon Kay and WSM Radio host Kelly Sutton.
A Rare Glimpse into Nashville’s Heart
The programme captures the Opry’s signature format, blending contemporary country hits with timeless classics and exclusive artist collaborations. To be recorded live at the Royal Albert Hall, the show will feature Opry members Luke Combs, Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce, Darius Rucker and Marty Stuart alongside recently announced UK guest artists Mumford & Sons and Breabach.
Dan Rogers, SVP and Executive Producer of the Grand Ole Opry, describes the event as more than a concert. “The Opry is a community formed by artists and fans who are deeply connected through music. This broadcast will honour the genre’s past while celebrating its future.”

A Milestone for UK Country Music
The BBC’s involvement marks a significant moment for country music in the UK. Colin Reed, Executive Chairman of Ryman Hospitality Properties, said, “Country music is experiencing an extraordinary surge in global popularity, particularly in the United Kingdom. With the support of beloved Opry members and these incredible UK artists, we aim to give fans a glimpse of the magic that happens each week in Nashville.”
For UK fans, this broadcast is more than a viewing opportunity. It is a cultural exchange, a celebration of shared musical heritage and a chance to witness one of country music’s most iconic traditions brought to life on British screens and airwaves.
Whether you were in the crowd or hearing it for the first time, “Grand Ole Opry: Live in London” is a must-watch/must-listen moment in the UK’s country music calendar.
