A brand new Americana-influenced camping festival is taking shape for summer 2026, and today State Fayre has unveiled a substantial second wave of artists set to appear at Hylands Park, Chelmsford from 26 to 28 June. With more than 25 new acts added, the festival is quickly becoming one of the most exciting new events on the UK calendar, especially for country and roots fans.
Country and Americana standouts lead the new additions
For UK country audiences, the latest announcement brings several names that will land strongly:
- Orville Peck: fresh from a creative resurgence in 2025 and the release of his acclaimed Appaloosa EP, the masked trailblazer returns to the UK with a bold new live show.
- Molly Tuttle: the Grammy-winning bluegrass innovator brings her virtuosic guitar work and songs from So Long Little Miss Sunshine, nominated for Best Americana Album and Best Americana Performance.
- Stephen Wilson Jr.: one of Nashville’s most compelling rising voices, following a sold-out 2025 tour and a standout appearance on Later… with Jools Holland.
- Kezia Gill: a firm favourite among UK country fans, known for her powerful vocals and genre-blending songwriting.
- Leah Blevins: the Kentucky-born songwriter whose haunting, soulful Americana has earned widespread acclaim.
- Elles Bailey: the UK Americana Award-winner whose smoky vocals and blues-country fusion continue to draw a devoted following.
- Anna Graves, Aubory Bugg, Ava Hall, Bebe Stockwell, Nate Bergman, RYMAN, Sarah Julia and more rising voices from both sides of the Atlantic.
These new names join previously announced country and roots favourites including Sierra Ferrell, Dylan Gossett, Max McNown, Amble and KT Tunstall, alongside major headliners Kings of Leon, Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts, and The Lumineers.
A festival built for Americana fans
Positioning itself as the UK’s largest music and barbecue festival, State Fayre promises a full Americana experience, from long summer evenings to tailgate-style food culture. The festival will feature:
- Three main stages of live music
- The FUME Pit, hosted by the UK’s premier BBQ festival
- Whiskey, craft beer and cocktail bars
- Vegetarian and vegan food traders
- Live cooking demonstrations and talks
- Boutique camping and classic state fair rides
With a capacity of around 30,000, organisers Anna-Sophie Mertens and Alex Simmonds of Live Nation say the response so far has been incredibly positive, adding that today’s announcement reflects the ambition behind State Fayre and that more news is still to come.
