Dorset Tractor Fest 2026: Where Country Meets Carnival
Bearfoot Productions
From 5–7 June 2026, the Turnpike Showground in Shaftesbury, Dorset revs to life for Dorset Tractor Fest — a weekend of rural revelry, musical mischief, and full-throttle fun. For country fans, it’s a rare blend of grassroots charm and genre-hopping brilliance, where the soundtrack is as rich as the soil and the cider flows freely.
Saturday’s Main Stage is headlined by none other than The Wurzels, celebrating 50 years of “Combine Harvester” with a set that promises pure West Country joy. Sunday brings the barnstorming brilliance of Hayseed Dixie, fusing bluegrass with rock anthems in a way only they can. Across both days, expect tribute acts from Luke Combs to Garth Brooks, plus homegrown favourites like Katy Hurt, Whisky Embers, and The Outlaw Orchestra. Friday night sets the tone with Shania Twain and Lainey Wilson tributes, Elvis Returns, and Autumn Red.
Beyond the music, the showground bursts with spectacle: steam engines, Bolddog FMX stunt bikes, Megaslam Wrestling, lawn mower racing, mini Land Rovers, and eating contests that’ll test your mettle. It’s agricultural entertainment with a rock ’n’ roll heart — and plenty of fairground thrills.
If You Like This… You’ll Love That
If you like the cheeky charm of The Wurzels, you’ll love the cider-soaked antics of the Skimmity Hitchers. Fans of Hayseed Dixie’s genre-bending bluegrass will find kindred chaos in Route 66 and the Moonshine Hillbillies. And if Lainey Wilson’s blend of grit and glamour speaks to you, Katy Hurt’s powerhouse vocals will hit home.
Reviewers of previous shows have called Dorset Tractor Fest “a glorious collision of country soul and rural spectacle,” praising its “unpretentious charm, top-tier tribute acts, and a crowd that knows how to party.” One fan summed it up best: “It’s like Glastonbury for farm folk — with better food and fewer queues.”
